Kari Krogseng

Chief Counsel, Department of Finance

Kari Krogseng was appointed Chief Counsel of the California Department of Finance by Governor Jerry Brown in July 2014, after serving the department as assistant chief counsel.

She served as deputy attorney general at the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General from 2012 to 2014 and acting deputy legal affairs secretary in the Office of the Governor from 2012 to 2013. Ms. Krogseng was an associate at Remcho, Johansen and Purcell, LLP from 2005 to 2012 and at Bingham McCutchen, LLP from 2001 to 2004.

Ms. Krogseng earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
