Alex Shoap

Alex Shoap is a Principal Program Budget Analyst in the ESU unit within the Department of Finance. Shoap joined Finance in 2020 and currently covers the Proposition 98 Minimum Guarantee for TK-14 schools, including K-12 local property tax and average daily attendance estimates. Prior to working on Proposition 98, Shoap worked on school nutrition, education technology, and issues related to various disadvantaged student populations. Shoap has an MPP from the University of Michigan and served as a Peace Corps volunteer before joining the Department of Finance.
