Donna Arduin

November 17, 2003 to October 18, 2004

Donna Arduin was appointed Director of Finance by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on November 17, 2003. She graduated from Duke University with honors in Economics and public policy in 1985. After graduating, she worked at investment banks in New York and Tokyo before entering the public sector. She has been responsible for the budgets of Alaska, Michigan, New York, and Florida. She was the Deputy Budget Director under Governor George Pataki in New York from 1995 to 1998, the Budget Director for Governor John Ellis “Jeb” Bush in Florida from 1998 to 2003, and a consultant for the Florida House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009. She was known for her libertarian philosophy in state budgeting. After Finance, she became the President of Arduin, Laffer, and Moore Econometrics.
